The San Joaquin Regional Housing Fund Inc. Advisory Committee (HFC) was established in 2024 following the creation of the San Joaquin Regional Housing Fund, Inc. (SJRHF) by the San Joaquin Council of Governments. The SJRHF was formed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit subsidiary of SJCOG to support the planning, financing, and implementation of strategies that expand housing opportunities for extremely low-, very low-, low-, and moderate-income households throughout San Joaquin County.
The HFC serves in an advisory capacity to the SJRHF Board, providing guidance on the Fund’s operations, management, and long-term strategic direction. The committee plays a key role in shaping program design, reviewing and advising on project funding recommendations, identifying long-term and sustainable funding strategies, and helping establish fund priorities beyond the initial allocation of resources.
Committee membership includes representatives nominated by participating jurisdictions within San Joaquin County, along with additional non-voting technical advisors who bring expertise in housing finance, development, and nonprofit or community-based perspectives.
HFC meetings are held on a quarterly basis and are open to the public. Agendas, meeting materials, and information on opportunities for public comment are posted in advance and made available through the agenda center. Interested parties may subscribe to email notifications to receive updates regarding posted agendas or meeting notices.
