Bike San Joaquin

IMG_4967[24]Bike San Joaquin is an electric bikeshare program led by the San Joaquin Council of Governments, providing clean, affordable, and reliable transportation options across San Joaquin County. Originally launched in April 2023 as Bike Stockton under the Stockton Mobility Collective with support from the California Air Resources Board, the program is now entering a new phase thanks to nearly $1.7 million Clean Mobility Options (CMO) Voucher. This voucher supports the existing e-bike fleet and the program expansion project, which will bring more e-bikes and stations to neighborhoods across the county. By expanding mobility access to jobs, schools, health care, recreational outings, and other key destinations, Bike San Joaquin continues its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving public health, and serving disadvantaged communities.

Short-term roundtrip rentals

Short-term rentals are located at site hosts where fleets of e-bikes are available to their communities.

  • University of the Pacific: Students, faculty, and staff have access to a fleet of bikes around campus. The bikes can be accessed through the Bike San Joaquin app.

Bike San Joaquin is funded through the new statewide Clean Mobility Options (CMO) Voucher Pilot Program. The project is part of the California Climate Investments (CCI), a statewide initiative that puts billions of cap-and-trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment, particularly in disadvantaged communities. It is also part of the California Energy Commission’s (CEC) Clean Transportation Program, which is investing more than $1 billion to accelerate the deployment of zero-emission transportation infrastructure and support in-state manufacturing and workforce training and development. CMO is administered by CALSTART in partnership with Shared-Use Mobility Center.
