San Joaquin RCC workshop set on how green jobs help environment, job market

A workshop on how green jobs reduce pollution, increase energy efficiency, conserve resources, and create a stabler job market is set for 6-7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 in Lodi.

The San Joaquin Regional Climate Collaborative (RCC) is hosting the educational workshop in the Cottage Room of Hutchins Street Square, 125 S. Hutchins St., Lodi. Food will be provided for the in-person session. Please scan the QR code on the flyer to RSVP and register.

Those interested, but unable to make the in-person workshop can join virtually by scanning the QR code on the flyer to RSVP and register, or by visiting the Zoom registration form.

The San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) and its partners were awarded a California Strategic Growth Council grant to form the San Joaquin Regional Climate Collaborative to implement six strategies focusing on climate education and outreach in three communities of focus, Lodi, Stockton, and Tracy. SJCOG’s partners in RCC include Grid Alternatives North Valley, Stockton Service Corps, Catholic Charities Diocese of Stockton, University of the Pacific’s Center for Business and Policy Research, and Public Health Advocates.

Taller del RCC de San Joaquín sobre cómo los empleos verdes ayudan al medio ambiente y al mercado laboral

Un taller sobre cómo los empleos verdes reducen la contaminación, aumentan la eficiencia energética, conservan los recursos y crean un mercado laboral más estable se llevará a cabo de 6:00 a 7:30 p. m. el 12 de noviembre en Lodi.

La Colaboración Regional sobre el Clima de San Joaquín (RCC) organizará este taller educativo en la sala Cottage de Hutchins Street Square, 125 S. Hutchins St., Lodi. Se ofrecerá comida durante la sesión presencial. Por favor, escanee el código QR en el folleto para registrarse.

Quienes estén interesados pero no puedan asistir al taller en persona pueden unirse de manera virtual escaneando el código QR en el folleto para confirmar su asistencia y registrarse, o visitando el formulario de registro en Zoom.

El Consejo de Gobiernos de San Joaquín (SJCOG) y sus socios recibieron una subvención del California Strategic Growth Council para formar la Colaboración Regional sobre el Clima de San Joaquín e implementar seis estrategias centradas en la educación y divulgación sobre el clima en tres comunidades principales: Lodi, Stockton y Tracy.
