Local Transit

Measure K funds promote bus service between San Joaquin County cities. Capital expenses such as vehicles and some bus operations are eligible for Measure K funding. The Passenger Rail and Bus Service funding category provides alternatives to using private vehicles for intercity and commute transportation. Measure K provides funding for the transit agencies in Lodi, Escalon and Ripon. Some of the benefits that come from these programs include enhancing mobility for the elderly, the handicapped and those who might not have a personal vehicle in San Joaquin County, and removing private vehicles from the road, which reduces greenhouse gas emissions and improves air quality.
