San Joaquin Council of Governments’ Kim Anderson (left) and Christine Corrales are scheduled to speak on equitable engagement during Southern California Association of Governments’ (SCAG) virtual Toolbox Tuesday at 1-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19.
Event speakers will discuss effective strategies using case studies in the SCAG region and beyond. Participants will hear about those strategies involving inland, rural and underserved communities, relationship building, and supporting trust. They will also learn how personal stories can align with equitable community engagement and should leave with concrete takeaways on equitable engagement tools, frameworks and strategies.
SCAG’s Toolbox Tuesdays provide training on a range of practical skills and knowledge for local planners. All classes and webinars are free for staff of SCAG-member local governments and other SCAG partners in Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties. Private sector planners, nonprofit staff, academics and students are welcome to attend. More on the event: https://bit.ly/2YRTe7S. Register here: https://bit.ly/3vaaNMe.
