Traffic Collision Counts
Local governments track performance measures and indicators of traffic patterns, congestion, traffic fatalities, and more to understand our streets, freeways, and highways and plan for a future with fewer fatalities and injuries. Recently, SJCOG completed the Regional Transportation Plan and Sustainable Communities Strategy, much of which is dedicated to performance indicators. For the future, we must track information such as traffic fatalities to tailor the plan for regional needs. Click HERE for real time traffic updates from CalTrans.
